Great, authentic, hidden gem of Mahopac. So happy to have found this place. Location is small, I typically order takeout. The pupasas, tamales, rice, salads are all terrific, highly reccommend. Love the homemade tortillas and salsa--so good! The ladies who cook and run it are super nice. I recently moved to Mahopac from Los Angeles and have tried nearly every restaurant in town -- this is one of the best.

First time trying this hidden little spot hiding over by Lake Mahopac. We live close by do we decided to order Take Out. Since it's the Lenten season we decided to try out their seafood and we were not disappointed!! My husband had the seafood soup (mariscada) and it was phenomenal!! Very hard to find a good one made in restaurants around this area. I ordered their Shrimp in tomatoes with rice and beans, and that tomato sauce was delicious! I think we found out new spot!! And defintely try their sweet plantains with beans and crema ... You won't regret it!

Hole in the wall. But the Pupusas are LEGIT! I get the bean and cheese, the husband gets the revuelta plate that comes with rice, beans and maduros. Can't go wrong. It's delicious!

This place is great. Hidden gem, would never know it was there if it wasn't for me working with Spanish guys who recommended it. Best tortillas I've had. Chicken taco's are delicious. Torta de carne is another one of my favorites. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed

First off I drive about half an hour to come here and enjoy the delicious pupusas salvadoreñas. About 8 years ago I discovered this place and ever since I haven't found a place better than this that make delicious pupusas. Definitely a 5 stars for me Service. Food drinks and desserts are all exceptional. Will definitely keep coming back for more With only 8 tables this small place stands out more than other big Latin restaurants on the area. If it's a busy day and you want to eat at home. Ordering take out is a breeze. Try it out. I say this is as authentic as Salvadorian food gets.

Pupusas on the lake! After a first ever experience in El Salvador I came home to an amazing surprise. Rincon Latino! A warm friendly smile welcomes you into this cozy and family experience and when I asked if they had Pupusas before seeing the menu...fireworks went off and made my night light up! I ordered the Carne Asada, fried plantains, and two Pupusas of course. This treasure of Mahopac is easily unseen and tucked away in the back corner of a multi-office complex across from the lake. Amazing food and worth experiencing real authentic El Salvadorian cuisine.

If you're doing takeout & you know 100% what you want beforehand this place is great. The inside is extremely hot, cramped & kind of crappy. If you don't speak Spanish there's going to be a language barrier. The menu is kind of confusing & to read & you may not get exactly what you order. "Re-fried beans & Rice" may refer to one side (rice mixed with re-fried beans) and not 2 things. The menu will not tell you specifics about what is included. You need to ask or just know based on experience. The quality of the food is really good, especially for the price. The Corn Tortilla Filled with Cheese rind pork was my favorite (it's an appetizer). The pork dishes were a little boring however you will be good with just about any steak item.
